Revisiting Canada for further study

Hi,

I have a friend who has been in Canada for 5 months after passing the assessment from the Nursing board.  He enrolled for short courses/practicum as required by the board. The reason he didn't fly back to our home country in Philippines was the short courses he was taking had 2 months gap in between. He will be flying back to our home country to apply for a tourist visa.

How long should he stay in our home country before flying back to Canada for another short course/practicum (nursing). Student visa is not applicable because the courses are less than 6 months.
