returning home some important questions-need help thanks

I'm married to a great Chinese woman we have a two yr old and she has a boy 15 from a previous marriage.We will all return to Canada my wife and my stepson on a tourist visa. Our 2 yr old is a Canadian citizen as myself.I guess when we arrive I can apply for a PR for the both of them.We want to send her son to school here  can anyone help regarding the procedures I need to take. I guess he needs a student visa I'm not sure. Thanks In advance.Any other info would be great.

You can send in their application for a PR visa while you are still in China. You don't have to wait until they and you get to Canada.

It will be better for them to apply out land if her processing office is Beijing since inland processing time for 1 stage has just extended to 11 months.
