So my husband is going before us, to return to Canada as he secured a job.
I had landed with all our goods on my goods to follow list in June.
Does he need a B4 when he re-enters? Or my B4? He is only bringing 2 suticases of clothing and some tolietres and a netbook, perhaps.
If I understand right, he will apply for reinstatement of his OHIP, and wait 3 months- of course, but it's the reinstatement he does, versus new card.
Does Canada expedite passports? He will no longer have any valid means of travel into the US after he leaves (he was using his green card for the last 13 years but that will be no longer 'his' when he takes up residence in Canada again) so coming to help us move he will need something.
DMV - this is where you get your driving history? so he can get a Ontario DL easier. He does not intend top bring a car straight away though, as it just complicates things we think instead we'll make a massive move together eventually.
Does he need a new SIN? I saw somethign in another post about them having photos now? Or I might just be confused with something else. He has a SIN, of course, from birth-ish (he was born in Canada and immigrated to the US for me at age 20).
Thanks much for any replies or insight, sometimes the head goes mush. Managing this move, a family, impending single parenthood and full time schoolwork is daunting.
i don't know all the answers, hope some other members will help

just to confirm with an extra fee it will take 10 business days to get the passport; the best is to go and apply in person
as far as i know SIN does not expire; mine is more recent than his it has no photo and no expiry date; just name and number

if OHIP refers to health card the 3 months u say is just for new comers; for the coming back Canadians it is around 6 weeks from the entry back to Ca date not the application date (at least that's what they told me when i called)
i resided in Quebec, not sure how different it is; maybe not that much....good luck!!
