I am on a canadian study permit for a year and 1 month before my visa expires.. i leave Canada to my home country(malaysia). Now..after 5 months.. i would like to go back to Canada to visit my frens.. Will there be any problem with me getting a visitor visa when i just left Canada 5 months ago? Is it too soon?? I am unemployed but all my funds is fully sponsored by my father.

Please advice on this matter anyone ...thanks for the help i really appreciate it.

You can apply, by leaving you proved that you would return after your authorized stay ended, which is a plus in future applications.

Hi,

CIC sends a letter which gives the reason/s for the refusal.

Normally refusals for visitor visas are due to lack of ties (visa officer does not believe you would go back to Malaysia after the visit is over), insufficient funds (your own), and ties to Canada (boyfriend/girlfriend in Canada). You can start by getting a job (so setting up some form of a "tie" with Malaysia), build your own finances (so you could show you can take the trip on your own).

have you applied by mail? how did you know that they refused? they always send/give refusal letters.
it looks like the main reason can be that you applied too soon.
