@ steaky How long did you wait before you contacted the consulate for the copy of the letter ? Did you really contact the consulate in your country or did you contact the CIC call centre?
@ cdngrl Yes we found out on Ecas once it became active about 37 days after our application was received by CPC Miss.
I don't remember exactly how long I waited, but it could be about 4 to 6 months. There are two consulates handling immigration in China (Beijing and Hong Kong) and I sent both (email & fax according to each office' instructions), but only one replied to me. At the time, I was not in Canada nor I appointed my relative in Canada as my representative so I did not contact the CIC call centre.
