Return of PR till when its needed(can someone help- cheif Qorax can you help)

1. I heard from someone that one can return ones visa after the issue when one is not ready to go within a year after  medicals is done. That anytime one is ready one will just repeat the medicals and the visa will be reissued again . i am very busy with a training program and i dont want to quit it yet, it may take me another 3years to be through  I dont know how far this is true. Does anyone have information or advice for me

2. I have submitted complete document since August and my ecas is still reading Received by visa officer since october that ecas changed to this.
I am a bit disturbed, when are they going to change it to inprocess and when will they call for medicals

I know the experts will chime in here soon, but I didn't think you could put a visa on hold...it has to be completed within a year of the medicals or before expiry of Passport, which ever comes first.  There are so many who would gladly change shoes with you - what a shame you can't.  Rather than miss out completely wouldn't it be wise to complete your landing while taking a vacation to Canada and then return when your training is finished.  Good luck with your decision and, for your sake, I hope it takes them AGES to give you your visa!!  LOL

1. It's a one time issuance... use it or lose it. The info that u have is incorrect. BTW, pls take Pippin's advice.
2. e-cas is not a very reliable tool... as u cross 7 months - send your VO an email. Meds should come by 4-6 months of 2nd AOR.
