Can anyone let me know about any restrictions in the landing process? I got my visa stamped today with a deadline of February.  This is a really short time for me to prepare to move with my family, so i want to know if I can go and land and stay a few days in Canada in december, and then return to my home country to close of outstanding things like selling my vehicle and my house and personal possessions, and then go back to start my life in Canada in April or so.
Thank you,
SAS

not sure exactly what you mean by you got your visa stamped today... if you mean you got a visa that entry expires in feb then the what i do know is that you can enter canada but you must wait until you have your immmigration card, it works instead of another visa so you can leave the country and re-enter when you want... it looks like a little credit card. it took ten days to get mine but time varies a little im sure. when you enter canada you go to the immigration desk after passport control and do all the paperwork for immigration there...
once you have the card you can leave and re-enter as you like. ive done this twice since i arrived a year ago.

yes you can go in december, stay for a few days, come back, and then go again in april. if your family (spouse, kids) also got their visa with you, they also have to land before the deadline (i.e. february, in your case). dont worry about the PR card. you can give address of your relative or friend living in canada. the card will be posted to them and then they can courier it to you in your country. even if you think this will not work out for you, you can come back to your country and then apply for a travel document at your local visa office in your home country and go to canada on that travel document.
