Hi Ethan,

Did your new job applied for your LMO? If you submitted LMO plus restoration of status work permit, then there should not be any problem. I believe the processing time is the same with renewal work permit. Nowadays, it will take 81 days (online application). You can call CIC toll free number and provide your client id and then they will tell you the status of your application. May i know what was the processing time of your LMO? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ethan,

Based on the CIC, it now takes 74 days to process (work permit for new employer). I'm not so sure about the rejection since we haven't applied ours. I know how you feel and it is really scary. It is also one of my questions, like what are the chances/reasons of being rejected. But then, call CIC because you can check your status on their automated voicemail using your client id or speak to their representative and they will give you your status. I hope everything will be good on your end.
