Finally after a long wait of about 39 months, I received a response from CIC Mississauga that I have met the sponsorship requirement and the file has been sent to Islamabad.
Could you please guide me what is the next step, how long it will take and what documentation my parents will need to support their application.

Unfortunately the next step is more wait.  According to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/08-fc-parents.asp#asia the average processing time in Islamabad is 28 months.  They will contact your parents and let them know what they need to provide.
