Where are you based in Canada?

There are province specific organisations that can help you with this, like Employment Ontario.
Lots of help, plenty of free training, help with information on your local market.

You can start here:

Employment Ontario  http://www.tcu.gov.on.ca/eng/employmentontario/

Also google "Employment Ontario Ottawa" - change "Ottawa" for your own town/city.
