Hi

I have a feeling that I do not need to submit these things, am I wrong to think that ?

- letter of employment, stating position, salary, hours worked, when began employment;
- paycheque stubs for one year (if available);
- bank letter confirming balance of savings, chequing or investment accounts;
- if self-employed: proof of business, registration, articles of incorporation, financial statements, corporate or personal tax return;

Who has submitted these things. I will be sponsoring my husband.

Thanks for your feedback.

You submit them or your option C from Revenue Canada Taxation.

Hi

"them" meaning all of these documents... or the option C

Option C or the documents your lawyer listed.
CIC/CHC will probably see that you have worked in Canada, so if you don't submit Option C, they will probably come back and ask for it.

My wife is self employed. So the Option C was, really, the only real choice to send. Better to be safe than sorry.

You would be wise to educate yourself about the process rather than relying exclusively on your lawyer. Yes, the items requested are needed. See the items 17-19 on the document checklist: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5491E.PDF
