Hi, I need advice on question q.8 of sponsored spouse/partner questionnaire IMM 5490. This is part of the PR application.

Q.8 Do you have family members or relatives (i.e aunt, uncle, cousin, etc.) living in Canada.

My common-law partner (sponsor) and our two kids live in Canada. Would I put their names down as family members under this question? They are all Canadian citizens.

What do you mean by "our" kids? Are you guys are biological father and mother?
BTW, this is tricky question  Wink

Hmm, well I am guessing there is some humour in that response, I think!  Roll Eyes Thanks for replying anyway.

And yes, my sponsor and I are the biological parents.

I'm pretty sure they mean your family members other than your spouse, unless you and your spouse are being sponsored by a third party. My husband was my sponsor and I left this part blank. Also, not too sure about your kids. Is there another place where you can list them? If not, I would write them down and be specific about your relationship to them (i.e.-biological children by spouse/sponsor).
