Just wanted to let people know that I recieved an email yesterday requesting my passport be sent to London for issue of my PR visa.

The whole process a taken just over 2 months to get to this point (application recieved Canada 14/07/09) - I even forgot to submit a form with my origional application. My Wife and I are so pleased as it know means we can plan our immediate future with some certainty.

I hope anybody just starting the process take heart from this, and thankyou for this forum for helping me. Remember no matter how stupid or trivial you think the question is - ask someone on this forum for help.

See you all in Canada!

Hi wpsteel

Congratulations!

Were you able to check via eCAS that they had begun processing?

We were spnsor approved 9th Sept and received letter from CPC-M but have nothing from London yet.  Did you get an "AOR" or any communication before PPR?

Thanks.

Yes was able to check by eCAS that London had started processing on 24/08/09. I didn't hear anything from London until I got the email on the 27th September asking for my passport. Funny thing I nearly deleted the email because it looked like junk mail!

Now to look for employment - anybody know any good websites and/or recruitment agencies I can approach - looking at the London, Ontario area.
