Rent a room/apt in canada

Hello guys. Is it possible to rent a room/apt in Canada before landing?? So I could provide that address to VO for greencard and also to have a place to stay when I land. I am looking to rent a room for 4-5 months. Please reply if you have some information regarding this subject.
