Visa Office......: Guatemala
App. Filed.......: June 15/ 2009
Doc's Request.: August 8/ 2009
Med's Done....: April 9 / 2010
Interview........: waived
Passport Req..: May 4 / 2010

« on: November 06, 2010, 10:25:21 am »

After been requested for my passport , almost 5 months have passed by since I submitted it  and still waiting for them to be returned ( hopefully with a positive permanent visa stamped) ....AMAZING BUT TRUE! This delay is driving me nuts.
I am now worried that as time passes by, we might catch the date when my  medicals were done, and as far as I know they are only good for a year.
Is there any chance they might just ask for Re-medicals even though, it is them to blame for the expiration due to their delay ?
  Huh

Why would they hold your Passport for 5months? Have you contacted your local CHC?

yes, I contact them about 2 month ago and they replied: "Unfortunately we will be unable to finalize your case for the next three months. If you need your passports back we will gladly send them to you and you can resubmit them later to this office."
I decided to leave them and wait...still waiting...

Why do you think they would be able to complete it in the next couple of months?

No this is not the security check, I am waiting since  January 2010 for PPr , along with many people, they are not issuing Visas in all  over the world , but will send the PPr to Next month i.e December 2010.
