My wife recently received RE-MED request ( Her previous medical expired on June, 2011) and a Police Clearance certificate.

Is it a good sign?

Please, share your opinions

ok, first, I'm not talking from personal experience, but I've been on this forum long enough to see a lot of cases where medical re-examination has been requested from applicants because the first medical expiration date went by without the visa office having the chance to issue a decision on the application, so most if not all of the time they request a new medical in preparation to issue a visa.

So to me this is good news, so my advice is comply with the request as soon as possible and then wait.

Good  luck!

Yeah, this is a very good sign. They are now in a process of finalizing your case and making a decision on it. This is why they need the Re-medical report and PCC to ensure that your wife is completely healthy and there is no criminal activity on her part since the application was filed.
