Here's the text from the Checklist... if you want the points... you have to submit proof:

5. PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP IN CANADA (IF APPLICABLE)
• Proof of relationship to your close relative in Canada, such as birth, marriage or adoption certificates.
• If your close relative is a permanent resident of Canada: photocopy of his or her Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence or
Permanent Resident Card.
• If your close relative is a Canadian citizen: proof of Canadian citizenship, such as a photocopy of pages of a Canadian passport or Canadian citizenship card.

Dear sriram.s79,

I also have relatives in Canada, I was asked for birth certificates, as this is my grandma so I have to provide grandma's, mom's (as I am related from my mother's side) and myself; and also proof of PR or Citizenship as per Juanda78 comments. And please make sure that all the names are written correctly, if not than the person have to make a statement letter.

Oh, I forgot another thing, you have to show proof that your relative is living in Canada i.e. bills, bank statements, etc sent under your relative's name & address in Canada.

hi,
I have got 69 points adding points that i gained under the adaptability section. My aunt's got a candian citizenship but she right now is a citizen of australia and is settled there. However I've got her citizenship certificate and the passport copy to prove her canadian citizenship. I ve also manged to get an address in the name of her daughter in vancouver but she live in the states at the moment but all her mails go to her address in vancouver. With all these complications, is it possible for me to claim points under the adaptability section? If i lose it I wont be qualified. So i urgently seek an advice

you only get 5 points for your canadian relative if your canadian relative is currently residing in canada. if your relative is a canadian PR/citizen but living in another country (even in USA), then no points.
