Dear All,
I have also noticed that from last few days the NDVO is also rejecting number of application applied in 38 categories.
here i wants to mention the application of my friend:
he is 45 years old and his qualification is M.B.B.s and M.D and his wife has the same qualification.
so according to immigration laws he was supposed to get 25 points for his education and 05 points for his wife's qualification. but the ndvo alloted him 22 points for his education and 04 points for his wife education. both of they have done master degrees but still they rejected his case due to unsufficient points. the reason they mentioned in their letter for alloting him 22 points is that they said you have not provided us DMCs of M.D (Doctor of Medicine) but everyone in india knows that in M.D you only get a degree not DMCs. They both have 19 years of full time education.
this is very unfair by the VO

Dear jass.mahil. Sorry to hear about your friend's case. Pls check page 31 of the OP Manual. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdfAs per the manual doctor of medicine(or MD) after MBBS is similar to having two bachelor's degree. For eg consider IIMs. According to general public they award MBA. But the certificate is for Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. The pre requisite is that you need to have a bachelor's degree. So anyone applying for immigration will get 22 points for graduation and not 25. Similarly, MD is a bachelor degree which you can do only after you have done MBBS, but it is a bachelor's degree and not masters or doctorate. Hence the points are not incorrect. Similar discussion was on the forum sometime back and PMM corrected me. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t66267.0.html

It seems that the CHC has made an error in your case. You should be awarded 5 points for your wife's 17 years fulltime Master's education. Contacta the CHC regarding the error and ask for more explanation from them. @ nano24482
What is your view for my application?
My wife have Master Degree [ M.Sc ] 17 year's education + [ B.Ed ] 1 year's Education.. But VO count only 4 point in place of 5 point...

when calculating points for experience, are they considering only the experience gained in the noc I applied? I have 15 years of experience but have only 2 years of experience in the noc I applied. Will I gain points only for the 2 years?

Do not worry about it.... For your eligibility purpose they will look into 29/32 NOC listed jobs but for your points calculation they will consider all 15 yrs of education. All the best wishes and God Bless.

Sending birth certificates of your father and uncle will be much better option. It will be much better if you ask someone who has claimed points and got the visa. Lot of people would find it surprising that MD is not considered Master's degree. The full form of MD is Doctor of Medicine. The thing is lot of people consider a medical doctor as the highest form of study i.e doctorate as both can use Dr to address themselves. The correct word for medical doctors is physician. They started using doctors somewhere in the early 20th century. As for the MBA, you need to check the university from which the course is done. I know about IIMs. If you provide me the university name, I can check and come back to you. Nano, very surprised to hear that MD is not considered as a masters degree. Thank you binstm. Hearing about so many rejections.....I am thinking too much about the points I aquired and getting such doubts. People in this forum help each other and encourage each other and thus ease the tension a lot. I guess "15 yrs of education" is a typo error. God bless you too and all the best.

As per the CIC site u will be awarded points only for the experience in the noc applied. U will get points for only 2 years exp. in the noc applied and not for 15 years total experience. Others pl. comment so that picture is more clear

Need your valuable comments. There is a confusion on the points aquired for experience.
