Hi Seniors,

I have been observing on the forum , there are lots of rejections now days by visa offices, even though the applicant has submitted all the documents ,visa officer looked for minor things and had that mentally set to reject the file.

Some of the rejections has been done because of an error of judgement from visa officer.

My query is if it is happening because they have more supply then the demand?Huh?

few of the people on the forum predicted this earlier as well that visa offices will reject a lot of pre June files.

Whatever rejections I have seen by VO is for pre june 2010 applicants because before june 201o applicants used to send the documents to VO not the CIO.

Have anybody know of any rejection by VO for post june 2010 applicant??

I have observed the. Increase in rejections as well and I think they have too many applications unprocessed and tbey are trying to make their workloa easier. But most of the rejections are prejune2010. I haven't seen any old applicants under pre feb 2008 being rejecte.

Hi,

I agree with you, they have been rejecting alot of pre June applications for one or another reason .

Its not fair for us who have been waiting for more than 2 years for PR

I agree, Applications are being rejected & Primarily 38 NOC list is at the receiving end.

This is unfortunate, unjustified & unfair on the part of CIC.

Here is what i have noticed in the past few months,

1. Reason for rejection: Adaptibility points for relative: Here most of the applicants who did not get the points have just send proof of PR or citizenship of their relative in Canada. They have not sent sufficient documents ( as mentioned in the checklist birth certificates etc etc) to prove how they are related and that they are residing in Canada.    It is an error on the side of applicants, VO was right in not alloting points and rejecting the appliation.

2. Reason for rejection: Educational Qualifications: Some of the applicants have not obtained relevant educational qualifications for the NOC they have applied for. For eg, It does not sound convincing for a Computer Instructor, when he has a Bachelors Degree in Arts ( University recogonised ) and a diploma froma private computer training institute ( not recogonised !!) to claim points for experience etc..  Let me explain.  I am software professional. I do have  practical knowledge on how buildings are constructed. I cannot obtain a certificate from a private institute on interior design and apply as an architect .

Lets not forget, all the VO's of various countries, do look at all applications suspiciously, this is the only way, they can spot the fake ones. They do not give the applicants, benefit of doubt. nor do they give a chance to rectify the error..its not our fundamental right, lol.

We should take a lot of care in preparing the application and ensure that all the required documents are sent as mentioned in the checklist.

Dear good analysis but the most concerning thing is wrong calculation of points for example countryboy has been given 3 points on his spouse graduation and application was rejected. it is not fair.

Dear good analysis but the most concerning thing is wrong calculation of points for example countryboy has been given 3 points on his spouse graduation and application was rejected. it is not fair.

Point # 2 Education Qualifiations > I agree to an extent since there are numerous people who have applied in a particular NOC after they have gained good amount of experience in a reputed company. Their qualifications may differ.

E.g. is myself : I am not an engineering graduate but applied under NOC 0213 as a Data Center Manager. I have an experience of almost 12 years in a reputed Indian MNC which is known & famous for Data Centers Services. I am not managing 1 Data Center but 5. Rather I have built-up 3 Data Centers which were hired as empty rooms.

In my application, I have provided appreciation mails, promotion letters of past 5 - 6 years & I have BE/BTech/MCA engineers working in my team(28) reporting into me. Enough proof to support the position & NOC I am claiming. The VO do not even have to check with my Verticals & about my company since if he will just google it by name... Data Center will appear. I just have Cisco Certifications which are internationally recognised but never fetched me any Points, not even a single document i have provided is fake. VO will never have to ask for additional document to check if my job experience is Genuine.

Still 1 question haunts me all the time ...... Will my experience overtake my Qualifications or the VO will put objection to this while checking my file & documents ?

Although CIC website never asked for a specific qualification for a NOC & says such qualifications are "Usually Required" but the doubt remains that will this Qualification & NOC mismatch bring curtains to my "Canadian Dream" ..... Sad

I have seen few cases like the one mentioned below the wife is graduate and has degree , instead of awarding 4 points for education, they have awarded 3 points , just to make sure that he is short of points .

has the user  countryboy mentioned what documents he sent in support of his wife's education ?

what I feel is they, they are strict on the 'completeness' of the application. If some supporting documents have not been sent, they are rejecting without asking toclarify, hence not awarding points...This may be due to the stress of the backlogs....
