On the CIC website it states that you must wait 5 years before you can apply for rehabilitation for being Criminal Inadmissable.  Has anyone heard of anyone getting rehablitated before the 5 years?

No, but if the person has a good enough reason to enter Canada, they can obtain a TRP (Temporary Resident Permit)

 Thks PMM  I wonder if the ImmOfficer has ever demmed someone rehabilitated before the five years? since he is and expert on inadmissibilty

wondering if you got any further with this question? i'm in a similar situation and believe i can testify to my 'rehabilitation' as can many others. just need some in sight into the whole procedure.

Nope, can't be done, the Act is pretty restrictive as to the time frames.
