Hello, I currently live in USA. I got my PR around 2.5 years ago. I am worried that i would loose the PR status and hence planning to start a business and register in canada. I am thinking to do this because i can start maintaining a history in canada and also will be paying taxes in canada. I have no plans to buy a physical office. I still dont have any plans to come back to canada soon. For all the registration and tax work i am planning to work with a tax agent (CPA) from canada.

This is not just for this sake but i am seriously planning to setup a business, and thought registering in canada might as well help me maintain my PR status as well.

Can someone please tell me if this will help me maintain my PR status? Any kind of considerations?

It will really not work...coz when you enter and leave Canada, it is recorded every time and to be PR you need to be physically present there. This is worthless. Whether business is in books or actually present, you cannot claim it for PR until you are physically present there.
