I am not a nurse, i am a Dentist. To practise dentistry in canada we will need to sit for licencing exams just like u. But just like dentist, nurses dont require to sit for exams before immigration. case officers are aware of that too, so dont worry. apply for FSW1 visa as soon as possible as about 461 nurses have been applied so far.

hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and would like to get some information from your guys.
I am a qualifies nurse (registered) with diploma in nursing from Nepal. I worked in nepal as a staff nurse for 6 years and would like to apply for PR in canada.
my question is as follows:
a. are RN from Nepal allowed to apply as a skilled worker or not?
b. I also have Bachelors degree in social science and humanity will i be able to get points for this or not?
c. I gave my academic IELTS is that ok or do I have to give General one?
d. How long will it take if I applied at the end of Nov for me to get all the conformation?
e. Do I need to send in my husband work experiences also or not as I am claiming points for his education?
It would be great help if you could answer my question.
regards.

-Yes, U can apply . There is no such restrictions.
-Yes, U will get points from your Bachelor in social science as well
- U must sit for General training IELTS...Academic IELTS is not accepted.
- It might take 8-9 months or more to get PR
-Yes, u have to send your husbands work exp too.
- For your kind information, only 1000 registered nurse are allowed to apply for this eeconomic year & about 580 RN have been applied so far. So if u want to apply then u have to be very quick. U might have 1-2 months in hand.

As per Pal83's advice....I think a 3 year DIPLOMA will give you more points than one DEGREE...am I right?  Crazy system.  In Canada having a 3 year Diploma gives you the title Registered Nurse which is not as high as a Degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  You must have a degree to get nursing jobs in public health, teaching, etc.  Makes you wonder WHY CIO gives greater credit for the diploma in this particular case.

thank you Dr. and everyone for their reply i still have one more help please?
need to get a information regarding bank statement. I recently kept money in my current account in london and has not been able to get monthly statement. my bank can issue me a balance statement. which would give information about the current balance in my account only. is it ok to send in my application with this balance statement. It would be in a banks letter head stating balance as of today as following amount. If i am not able to send it how long periods bank statement do i need for skilled worker.
and about the work experience of husband do you they cic will enquire to his past and present work place?
regards.

No need of monthly statement. U can send 2 things to CIO as proof of funds:
  - Bank certificate/balance statement that you mentioned
 - If vise office document checklist asked for 6 months bank statement then you must send it with your initial application to CIO.

Regarding spouse woek experience:
No,  it is unlikely. Besides, CIO needs spouse work exp details because you might claim 5 points for spouse's work experience gained in CANADA. If you are not claiming points from spouse's work experience then no need to worry...

thank you Dr. Hasib for your response one more thing. If they do not consider my husband work experience do i still need to send in his work experience letter written in letter head and seal and signed by his manager or boss.
as his past experience was in Nepal and the company has already closed.
regards
L.
i would great appreciate you response as soon as possible.
