Hi all

This is a pretty urgent enquiry - i hope someone can help me out.

My husband is a Canadian AND New Zealand citizen. I am a Malaysian Citizen but i have been a New Zealand PR for 20 years. We both reside in New Zealand and got married in New Zealand. We have a legal document...marriage certificate.

My question is...
My husband is about to head over to Canada for work. We want to start a PR Sponsership process so that he can sponser me. Is it an issue that i have not registered our marriage with Malaysia? Our marriage is obviously a legal one, and registered with NZ...i wouldnt think it being registered in Malaysia would matter, seeing im trying to apply for PR with Canada...

I hope that made sense.

I look forward to a response.

Phelia.

No issue, as your marriage was registered in NZ, It doesn't have to be registered in Malaysia.
