Regarding PR cards advise (landed on 05/Aug/2011)

Dear All ,

Myself and my wife living in Canada since more than three years as a temporary workers .

We got our PR and landed on 05/Aug/2011 via Buffalo Immigration Office .

But still now we did not get our PR cards . My project is finished now in canada and my indian company is telling me to go back india immediately .

Now what I can I do about my PR cards . I called to call center agent , she is telling that the PR cards will come in Oct,2011 may be third or fourth week .

1) I'm confusing what to do about the PR cards ??

2) If we go to India with out PR cards , can we easily get the TRAVEL DOCUMENT from New Delhi office or not

Please let me know your valuable suggestions

Ask any of your friend to courier it to you in India once they are received at Canadian address!

Keep watch on the  post / or let the post office know in change of your address to your friends address !

Hi, Mohammed Baseer,

1.Call again service Canada to check the status of your cards.
2.You can talk to any of your friend how can send you the PR Cards by courier to India, then you have to update your postal address immediately with service Canada (before they will post on your old address).  
3.If they have posted the PR cards to your present address then you can try to extend your stay for few weeks more to receive your cards before you leave Canada.

If you have given your personal address , then visit Service Canada office and change your address by giving them new address of your friend's house, who will later courier you your PR cards back to India.

2) If we go to India with out PR cards , can we easily get the TRAVEL DOCUMENT from New Delhi office or not
Yes you can, you will have to fill the form, and given the copy of the CORP (landing paper)

Hi Basheeer, no issues in that . Give a call to the CIC call center and ask from them whether its possible to get the address change through calling.

Oh sorry 

Let me to explain you sir,

If you have to leave Canada immediately, within few days then you can give your friend or relatives address to service Canada. When the PR cards will arrive they can courier to your home address in India.

Yes you can

Here are the numbers:
(CIC) Call Centre telephone number: 1-888-242‑2100
•Service Canada: 1-800 O Canada (1-800-622-6232)

Better to send the information by fax (more accurate and you will have the prof of communication with them, ask them the fax number to send the change of address information)

I recently called CIC regarding my PR card as well,
CIC call center agent will not tell you status of your PR card application except there is some problem i.e. picture issues. After the card application is processed it is passed to printing department, which takes 2 weeks to print and post PR card, add another 10 days min in post. I was given the same answer, wait for 2-3 weeks and if you don't receive your card in next four weeks, call us back. I landed on 08/06/2011.
