Visa Office......: Buffalo

According to the Visa Office Specific Checklist (Buffalo) I require 4 photos of each member of my family and myself.

And from "how to complete the forms of the application guide (Page 25)" I have got the following instruction:

1. On the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye color.
2. Enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope.
3. Write your name and date of birth on the outside of the envelope.
6. Staple the envelope to your application form. Be careful not to staple or bend the photos.

From the above instruction I am confused about the number of photos on which I need to write the name, height and eye color.

As each person is having 4 pictures, should I submit 3 of them blank (on the back side) and write the name, height and eye color on the back of one picture only?

I am confused because in my home country if anybody does not write his or her name on the back of the photo, it becomes unacceptable.

Senior please suggest me!!

Hi Shijoal and other seniors,

I have tried to describe all the things I have done to get the photo instruction correctly.

  • Today I have down loaded the visa office specific instruction - a PDF file (E37048) for Buffalo, USA which is found on the bottom of www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp  and got the following information on instruction no.13 of Appendix A.
Supply four (4) photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions provided in section How to Complete the Forms of the application guide and in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.
  • Appendix B: Photo Specifications is nothing but an instruction for photographer only
  • On the How to Complete the Forms of the applicatio guide www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG74.asp- the following instruction is given
    Follow these steps:
1    Take the Photo Specification sheet (found in Appendix B of your visa office checklist) to a photographer.
2    Ask the photographer to provide you with the number of photos required in Appendix A of the Visa Office specific instructions for yourself and each family member.
3    On the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.
4    Enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope.
5    Write your name and date of birth on the outside of the envelope.
6    Staple the envelope to your application form. Be careful not to staple or bend the photos.

Now I understand I need

1. 4 photos of each of my family members
2. On the back of one photo of each person, I would write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.
3. I would enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope outside of which I would write my name and date of birth.
4. And I would staple the envelope to my application form (IMM 0008).

That's all. Seniors, if you could take the pain of going through all the way, please tell me if was going in the wrong way.
