Regarding File number...

Hi Friends,

I have applied for Canada PR in November 2010 through a consultant.  later in june 2011 submitted my IELTS and US police clearance certificate and Indian police clearance certificate as requested.

But still I did not receive my file number yet.  My friend who have applied along with me got his file number 4 months back.

Please give me your ideas about my case.

Post June 2010 Applicants need to submit Original IELTS report along with the application. If it is not submitted, application will be returned.

I think ur consultant is hiding the facts with you. May be your application has been returned and he/she had re submitted in June 2011 along with the IELTS.

Once the application is reached CIO, normally it takes 1-3 months for them to send the file number...the CIO sends the file number to email mentioned in the application form.

Anyhow once you get file number , u can check when your file has actually reached CIO.

yeah, as I told you in the first post, my applicaiton and my frinds's application submited at the same time
My friend got his file number 4 months back.. But I did not get it.

You might get a B file number in the future. However Buffalo is extremely slow so you will have to wait some time.

you have the correct file number and your case is received by visa office. you will not get any new file number...actually this is the 2nd file number you got starting from BXX.. The first file number starts from EXX

so relax and wait untill you go in process...in the mean time you can send a case specific enquiry or email to ask abt ur case...thx

Maybe so, but not necessarily ... I got a B post PER and remained the same till I landed.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes a lot a prejune2010 and the first postjune2010 applicants use to get B file numbers right away. I never asked your timeline
