Dear All,

I am new to this forum, I have applied for Canada PR in June 2010 .. Paris embassy has asked for my medicals report and my PCC  documents to be submitted. Can some one inform me what more will be the procedure left  after medicals. Can some one specify the duration it takes to get Visa after that.
One more query can some one suggest with in how many months after i get my Visa do i need to be present in canada ?

Dear
After Meds, PPR (passport request) is the next stage for visa stamping. This is what the standard steps are. If for any reason PPR is delayed, CHC may ask for PCC and Meds and proof of funds again 'cus PCC remains valid for 3 months where as Meds for one year only

There is no standard for timings for each step. It depends upon the actions taken by CHC till todate on your application. Say if BG (back ground) checks are not done yet, than your PPR may get delayed.

Once you get visa, it will remain valid for one year from the date of Meds done or passport expiring, which ever is earlier. Say u had Meds on 1st July 2011 and your passport is expiring in August 2012, your visas will be valid till 30 June 2012. If passport is expiring earlier, expiring date of passport will be the landing dead line

Wish you gud luk

Hi everyone!

About the medicals...I am applying outland, and it seems like I need to do the medical exam BEFORE I send in my PR application. But I hear some people are requested to do one AFTER. Did you have to take these medicals twice?

Thanks!

The processing office will send you the medical request once your application is approved and near the end of the background checks.
