I have recieved request for RPRF+Passport +Updated Bank Statement yesterday,04-08-2009 through email.

Now they have asked me for updated bank statement and with that they have also mentioned that JOINT Bank Statements are not acceptable.I have a Joint Bank Account(either or Survivor) with my Mother,I have submitted the Bank Statement of same Joint Account at the time of Document submission with an undertaking from my mother that she will have no Objection if i withdraw the whole amount. At that time they didnt raise any issue whatsoever. Now what should I do in this scenario?? I have talked to some leading consultants of Karachi and they advised me not to change Bank Account at this time and send the same Bank Statement with an Undertaking from my mother +a coverig letter. What u guys say about that??? What should I do ? I will be sending passport after 10 days...........

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! So when r u planning to leave pakistan:)
I wont suggest to take any chance at this stage. Open a new account (dollar account) with your name and transfer required minimum amount. Also send a letter of explanation why you moved money from joint to your personal account.

Hi
in my opinion  if  u want to  go for other options, then it is better to retain u current account and transfer the required funds from ur mother account to ur account. YOu could prove the source of ur funds if requiredso. At this stage it think it would not be wise to change ur account.

Dear Imran,

Your post blooms our hearts with joy. CONGRATULATIONS. We have hope now that CHC is alive and kicking Smiley))

As for the suggestion to your joint account, put the ball in CHC's court by sending the same Bank Statement with a cover letter and an undertaking from your mother that she does not have any objection if you utilized the whole amount for immigration purpose. Ask them if they still need a new account. If so, then you could transfer the amount temporarily and can reverse later. Visa stamping is more important now. Wish you good luck.

P.S. I hope you are not forgetting us in your prayers!!!

imranali,

I donot know which is a better option - but a generic advice.
Donot take any chance at this stage just because some options is difficult (& needs more time and procedures than the other) against the other.

just a moral support!!

cheers boltz

Dear Imran,

Choice is your but i am afraid sending the same joint statement might would delay your process as CHC has clearly mentioned no joint account (except for your spouse). hope all goes smooth in your case:) Ameen

If the mother is not accompanying the applicant to Canada, then I think that CHC would like to see the funds in the principal applicants account before they issue him the visa.

I think it would be better to transfer the funds to your account, get a declaration from your mom that she has gifted the sum to you and that your not obliged to pay it back. Get it attested by a court and your all set to go. Afterwards when you land in Canada, you can remitt the amount back to her account.

Otherwise you'll just continue to delay your application or worse they may reject you for insufficient funds, citing that they asked you for bank statements clearly mentioning that joint accounts are not good enough but yet you sent them the same bank statements back to them..

This is just my though.

Hope it works out for you InshAllah.

Kind Regards,

Alice.

Dear imran,

I am afraid, if they have clearly mentioned that joint accounts are not acceptable then taking another chance can be risky. I clearly remember, my consultant advised me to do exactly as the immigration officer has asked in their letter.

but at the end, its going to be your decision, so think on all sides of the matter. My prayers are with you.. and remember us in your prayers..

best of luck

1) I will get the print out of joint bank account statement with affidavit from mother and letter from bank, that funds are accessable
2) I will then transfer the amount from joint account to my personal account and will mail both bank statements from joint and personal, affidavit of mother, bank letter to CHC Islamabad

Good luck!!

Dear Imran

As per my consultant you should transfer funds from ur joint account to a new account in your name and send account statements of both bank accounts with an explanation letter.
