Hi,
I got my canada immigration VISA that was valid from 3rd March 2010 to  3rd March 2011. I could not go to canada to do the landing process because of some personal reasons. I had decided not to immigrate to canada. So my question now is regarding the refund of Landing fees.
1. Is it possible to get the landing fees refunded since I never went to Canada but had paid the landing fees in advance?
2. I am from India, so if I can get a refund, do I need to send the passport/supporting docs to New Delhi office OR I need to send them to Canada?
3. What documents I have to send along with the covering letter?
4. What do I need to mention in the covering letter? Is there a standard format of the cover letter, I can use?
5. How many days it may take to receive the refund, if any?
Any other relevent information you would like to share.

Thank you,

Why don't you ask your Visa Office?

It's a landing fee. If you don't land obviously that would be refundable. Contact your Visa Office through case specific enquiry email. Tell them that you wanna revoke your visa & wait for their reply and then act accordingly.

Hi, my first application was refused in March 2010 and I had already paid my landing fees. I was imformed with my rejection letter that my landing fee would be refunded. Up to now I have recived no refund. I have not written to request it because I have re-applied. Should my app be approved this time, would they use this same landing fees, or would I have to pay a 2nd time? I am also interested in knowing how long this refund would take.
