My boyfriend recently had his refugee claim denied. It was denied in Nov. We processed the appeal but also we'll be getting married in April this year. We only started living together around June so it hasn't been a year that we've lived together however I've changed over the acct info, insurance etc and have lots of pics. What form do I fill out once we get married, do I fill out the PR application or a sponsership application?

You cannot apply for spousal PR until you are married. You have not yet met the requirements of 1 year living together in a marriage like relationship, so therefore you cannot apply for common law.

As your partner is a failed refugee, your application will raise HUGE red flags. You will need a ton of evidence to convince the IO that yours is not a marriage of conveyance.

You seem to going in the right direction with insurance polices and bank accounts etc. Keep gathering the pictures and letters etc, get married in April and then send the spousal application.

Good Luck.
