My refugee application is denied recently, What is the next thing I can do? Can I appeal without a lawyer? I heard the cost of hiring lawyer for appeal is very expensive. I have a fiance here but I'm still waiting for my divorce paper to marry him. Thanks

Hi

You have the following options:

If the RPDdoes not grant "Convention Refugee" status or "protected person" status...

The claimant can be removed from Canada.

The claimant can:

    * ask the Federal Court for permission to apply for judicial review, (expensive and probably not a do it yourself operation)
    * ask for a pre-removal review by CIC, or
    * ask for a humanitarian and compassionate review by CIC.
