hello

I am getting ready to file my application for nomination under Alberta's program for immigration. I am currently on H1 and in the instructions they have asked for references from previous jobs. I was wondering how many references would they requires since they do not mention 1, 2 or 3 will be enough.

IS there anyone out there ever got any information from them if they needed more references than what they send. I was thinking of sending one reference only as I have worked with only one company before my current one. Would that be ok.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks for your time

AINP wants reference letter from ALL of your previous US employers. So if you have worked for only one company, you will just need one reference letter. There's no specific number of letter you have to send to AINP.

Guys,

Anoop mentioned relieving letters that got me thinking. So do they need reference letter stating that i was working with them and how was their experience about my skills  or just some paperwork (offer letter )proving that I was working with the company...

Advise.

I don't thing you need all the reference letter(s).
If you are able to provide well & good. but AINP-009A form clearly mentioned that you need following:

- A copy of reference letters from any previous U.S. employer(s).

I'm sorry. I meant "all of previous US employers relevant to your occupation (NOC)." I strongly believe you can submit job offer letters or employment contracts from previous US employers instead of reference letters. But if none of those is submitted, AINP will probably ask for it later.

Since Ainp only requires 1 yr of US H1b experience for eligibility, the references for other things dont matter so much. However, for that experience, you should have a solid document (it could be copy of your h1b petition if nothing else is available,it could be your job offer/contract if you would like to use that, else the easiest it could be an official reference letter from employer stating the title salary duties and duration, viz. what will be needed anyway.)
