Hello,

I am sponsoring my Japanese wife from Japan, we sent the forms and documents in march and on april 15th I was accepted as a sponsor in canada and my file was sent to quebec, in may i got the forms from quebec and sent them back, i am now waiting for the micc to give me their answer.
However, since my wife is Japanese her case is processed in Manilla, this morning she got a letter from the canadian embassy in Manilla asking her to ask me (her sponsor) to provide more documents about re-establishing in Montreal (it was specified Montreal on the letter, not Canada)..
Why do they ask her for that instead of me? and especially after i was accepted as a sponsor by the cic...?

If anyone had a similar case please let me know.

Thank you
