Hi,

I would like to hear your advice on my situation below:

- I'm having an old (Vietnamese) passport with the Canadian re-entry visa on it. Both of them will be expire in May 2012
- I'll be on travel to Oman for 4 months soon
- I already got the new Vietnamese passport and applied for the Omani visa with the new passport.
- I didn't notice that my old passport has been cancelled (being punched a few holes on the edges) and thought it was still useful. I asked the embassy if they would cancel my old passport since I have a few visas that are still valid inside it and they said that it's ok.

Now that I'll be on travel on a few days. The flight ticket agent told me that I may have a problem coming back to Canada, since I will be use the new passport for getting out of Canada but will use the visa (made with old passport number) to enter Canada.

I need to fly out soon so I won't have time to reapply for the new visa in the new passport. What should I do?

Thanks advance for your help.
