Hi Seniors,
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and PLEASE,i need urgent coaching from you guys.I applied for the FSW as a skilled worker under the NOC4152 as a social worker on the 26th of May 2011 but my application fee was not taken off my account and that got me worried sick.I later realised that i hadn't sent the CIC check list and assumed that was the reason. After a long wait,i decided to email Nova Scotia, and was amazed to get a reply from them stating that my application was returned since June 1st so i only just recieved it in the mail now with a covering letter stating some ommision in signature and stating that i need to write a language proficiency test in CIP and im totally amazed as i sent along with the application, original IELTS exam which i sat for in March of this year and is considered valid.

I will upload a copy of the cover letter that was sent so as to explain things clearer for you guys and you guys can help in advicing me on what next to do.My fear is that the forms are now generic, from my understanding of what was stated on the official site,i think i am still ok to send my complete and signed forms together with my documents back to CIC as sooon as ive clarified the reasons they stated for the return.

Please seniors im desperate for your help and support. Thanks so much for your anticipated reply.

FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca that is the email addy i used and it worked.Going by the date u stated that you sent in your application,i think its too early to email them as they stated that after 6weeks and you havn't heard from them, then you can enquire from them. Also check if your bank draft or cc has been charged then thts a good sign.I hope this helps.

When did you write IELTS? if less then one year then you are f9, otherwise write again.
follow the instruction on letter you received, write an answer with all the details mentioning that you wrote IELTS its less than a year old, your results are XYZ and submit app again.

Please guys, whats your opinion, ive just gone through the covering letter for the return of package and its highlighted in red ink, that i failed to sign one of the forms and not the IELTS exam as i had earlier thought. They only had a list of reasons but ticked the exact reason why.Do i just sign and date and send or do i need to fill the generic forms?please helps out. Thanks

hi,
I think you should just re-apply under the present batch.forget about the last batch, fill all the forms again, sign and date as appropriate.this way, you will save yourself a lot of hassles. The downside is that it will prolong your processing time.

IELTS results are now valid for 2 years (that is, they can be no older than 2 years when CIC first receive them, once CIC have them they do not expire like PCC). Also your NOC is 4152 which has currently only 39 out of 500 applications.

If I were you I would send a fresh newly signed and printed set of forms and enclosed your existing supporting documents. Make sure you include the CIO checklist and that all the forms are the latest ones (these changed very recently so do download the latest ones). Make sure the CIO checklist is the top page, but underneath that write a covering letter explaining why your last application was returned and that is why your supporting documents are a few months old.

I realise this few months' delay is frustrating, but it would be much simpler to re-apply in this way rather than attempt to appeal the rejection. And it's only really cost you a couple of months.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

I agree with Wayne,

All u have to do, is to fill in the new forms and not to repeat the same mistake,
Send an additional explanation letter, and send ur app package.
