Double check with BC PNP.  Are you leaving this employer now or coming back?  I know in AB they would cancel your application if they heard you had quit the employer who sponsored you and that goes even if you already have a certificate and have applied for PR.  Taking a vacation would be ok.

i will be coming back for the same employer. i am a little bit worried coz if i will take a vacation this may and come back on june, i only have 1 month left before my work permit expires. Do i have to apply first for new work permit before taking my vacation? I am going to pursue my PR application after I came back. Is it good to submit first my PR application before taking a vacation or the other way around?

I don't think it matters.  If you apply for a work permit extension a month before it expires should be fine.

Thank you leon, ill just renew my work permit before i go. I still have to prepare all my documents before submitting my PR application, I want to get my police certificate personally and as well as reunited with my family at the same time.

i just recieved it this week and planning to take vacation on May to June before submitting my PR application, so I still have enough time to submit before its expiry. But as of now I am planning to renew my work permit first and I want to know how long does it take to get a new one.
