I just received my LOI from the Embassy of Canada to Sweden for an open employer permit. I'm already in Canada visiting my boyfriend (and had trouble at the border and was given limited stay for visiting too much) i'm planning to drive to the closest border to do a flagpole.

my questions are:

1: would i get in trouble with an immigration officer for given shorter stay and may be flagged and THEN come with a LOI to get that activated?

2: even though it says "open employer" does it still mean that whenever i apply for a job in Canada - they will need an LMO?

hope some of you can help me.

without lmo you can't get any work permit visa so should apply lmo before work permit very few job in canada it is lmo exempt .i don't know which job you are  going to apply so you can check hrsdc .gc.ca you can find out lmo exempt job but very few or you can apply commonwealth partner visa if you have serious 1 year relationship and proof
