Hi all,
I applied as a Social Worker. my visa office (Singapore) sent me a letter on 7th June providing a file number. but the file number does not work. Again, my present status is "RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE" for about 3 months. Can anyone say when it may change and why are they delaying? by this time i inquired to know the way of updating my newborn baby providing her information. they did not even give any satisfactory reply.

I am sailing on the same boat. Applied as Social worker and received by Second AoR in June 2011. My status has not changed till then. I am worried.

Hello everyone...
i am probably the most senior among u all... as i received email from CIO on March 09, 2011 and from that date till now
my status is RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE... it has not yet changed... infact someone I knw applied after me and he received letter
from CIO as on 30th of March 2011 but his status was updated to IN PROCESS as on 1st May that is after only one month.. whereas
mine has not changed even after 6 months... I dont knw what is criteria because my status should have been updated earlier then him...

Even though CIC claim to be working according to the order they were received, the reality says otherwise. Unfortunately, there is nothing much any one can do about the pace of processing applications. God help us all! Mandie

Dear Sushilmuna,
I, U and many other colleagues are put on hold by CIC. Our life has became stagnant. Many fellow members are advising on carrying on routine activity and forget about our file. But I think this is very difficult as we are unable to plan our future the way we like (e.g. to plan a babby right now or wait for visa and plan a babby there, change a job or not).
I think CIC is planning our future and not we. What do you think?

Hello everyone...
Those who have applied before 26-06-2010 will be processed differently.. but applications after this date are processed through fast track system.
so I am not quite sure about those frends who applied before 26-06-2010 as the system changed after that.
Can anyone tell me how u display your ecase status on the left side of your post???

I am an Indian and sent my application through London, Visa office. In March 2011 my online status was changed to "Received by visa office". Still my online e-case status is the same. Anyone with same experience please shed some light of this delay.

Same as MI-1 , CIC never said there wouldnt be any Backlog from MI-2 and MI-3 applicants.
So bad luck for them if that happens !
