hELLO guyz,
just an hour ago i received a call from a certain person who did not reveald his name despitemy asking who is his name, he just said he is from phlippine immigration office , ask him again still he aswered the same.
He said he is looking for my mother and if this is her house, i told him yes, but she is not at our home at the moment , because she is having vacation in the US(visit her dauher there).
then he asked if who is the name oh her son, who is a seaman, so i told im she dont have a son,
The man said he dont know why her name and phone number was indicated to whatever paper he is holding at that moment.
Im just wondering what that would mean? Please advised
Because this call is totally Questionable because:
1. my mother dont have a son
2. who is this seaman who would used her name as hid mother and even gave her contact number.
3. Why the caller did not identify his name even i had asked twice.
My question is, could it be possible that this call is related to my PR application with IN PROCESS STATUS IN THE ecas? That they just want to valdiate the phone number and my mother if it is really true??

yes it may true that they are just checking it out..
I have an example of my friend who received a call from visa officer who was asking his nick name directly ,his family used to say for him..he was too surprised bcz he didnt mention any nick name on the form and much shocked bcz he has a nick name but gathering himself up he was firm to say that he has not any nick name which was otherwise very difficult to state at that time of nervousness ( the prime goal of Visa officer).
