In July 2009 I withdraw my first application because the 120 days was not enough to complete my documents so I withdraw my application then I checked my application in the CIC web site and it said that my application withdrawn.

Then I received a letter from the visa office telling me that my file has been closed and they will refund the 550CAD.

After that I prepared a new application and a check with 550 CAD and send it to Sydney Canada in 01-09-2009 and I didn't receive any response from them till today.

I received the refund for the first application three days ago, but there is no news about my new application.

Is there any one can help me with this case? Do I have to contact them by a letter or an e-mail to check the status of my new application?

Than you all for your time

CIC has started processing September applications now only. You need to wait one or two weeks to get your AOR.

Hello,

Please Help me

I got AOR in june 2009. I had same problem like you. I was unable to gather required documents within 120 days. Therefore, I wrote an email for withdrawing of my application in August 2009. Since then i am writing emails and sending letters to CHC-Islamabad for refund of fees $550 but no response from their side.

Is my approach is right? Please advice me To whom should i contact in order to get my fees?  You said you got your fees within 3 days.

I am writing in such a way.

To,
Canadian High Commission,
Islamabad.

Sub: withdrawal of FSW Application

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request for the withdrawal of my Federal Skilled Worker application and refund of fees. My Case number is XYZ and payment receipt number is XYZ.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

Warm Regards,
Muhammad Salman

They wrote in email that

Until the visa office has received your completed application, it will not accept, respond to, or attach to your file any interim correspondence, EXCEPT:

• Change of address, including change of e-mail address;

• Change of immigration representative;

• Request for withdrawal of your application and refund of fees;

• Submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada

I have tried to contact Islamabad Embassy thru emails and mails but recieve no feedback yet.
What should i do now in order to get back my $550?

Dear BackSalman

May by I cannot help you, but what I can do is to show you what I did exactly

I sent the withdrawal letter before the ending of the 120 days in 01-07-2009

Then after one month I received a letter from the visa office telling me that they will refund the 550CAD within 8 to 12 weeks so after about 11 weeks I received the check

This is the case with me

And I advice you not to send them emails but write to them and they will answer you
