Hello everyone,
I am still waiting for nomination. I wonder if at this time I can take fingerprint and send it to RCMP Ottawa for security checks so that when my PR application starts I don't have to wait; that may help shorten the wait time for visa issuance. The processing time for police check is about 4 months for immigration to Canada. I also heard that CIC doesn't require criminal records in Canada because they can request or access it themselves but I am not sure.
I have lived only in Canada for the past 6 years and my home country.
Does anybody know if this is okay?

rcmp gives u fingerprint and criminal record check same day
