Hi,

When sending updated information to visa office (Buffalo), should I quote the file # along with my return address located outside the mailing envelope?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Any correspondance to the visa office must bear your file number. I always put my file number in each document also because  in case it got mixed up (possible) or misplaced in the visa office, it can be easily traced.

My God!! This rings a bell. I sent some amendments to my application to CIO on April 08 and received no reply. I didn't write the file number outside the envelope. I wonder whether that could be the reason why I received no response from them. I guess they haven't even opened my file yet thinking that it is a new application. I should have mentioned my file number outside the envelope in order to draw their attention!

Thanks for the idea. I am going to re-send the documents again this time with my file number visible outside!
