quit my job

Hi... just want to ask some question work as a foriegn worker under skilled work permit and my husband has a open work permit but i just recently quit my job but my work permit gonna expired next year of MAY 2012. But i already bought a ticket for my vacation in New york this coming december 2011 wanna spend time with my mom there. The problems is i quit my job is my work permit still valid since im going to leave canada and be back on Jan. 15, 2012. Im thinking maybe after going back from my vacation then imagining in the airport of canada they will not allow me to goo back since i already quit my job..but my husband still have work..
