Hi i am applying as principle applicant, should my common law partner fill in Schedule 3 Economic Classes-imm0008_3e?

She also has good experience in her field, does her work history count for anything or will all the "judgement" fall on me as principle applicant?

thanks!

Hi,
Does you and your spouse has work experience under same NOC category? If yes, then I recommend you be the primary applicant if you have more work exp years than your spouse. Including her in your application will earn you eligibility points anyway. If you spouse has more number of work exp year than you, then it is better to make her primary applicant.

Good Luck.

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply.

I have more work experience than her and we are in different categories. However her job is a managerial postion and i believe has weight to it.

Is it a case of better to include the information than not, then at least if it is of value they can decide rather then me.

sorry, just in case i read your reply wrong, are you saying just to include her anyway (which i am doing) OR to include her on her own Schedule 3 form with her job experience?

There can be one primary applicant whose work exp will be evaluated. It has to be either you or your spouse. But, if you trust she has more weight to it, then let her be the primary applicant. They will not determine who has a better chance. You will have to make that decision. The basic requirement is - you should be eligible for PR ( in terms of total points and NOC list ), and all the required supporting documents has to be in place. The processing should be smooth.

Schedule 3 should ONLY have experience details of Principal Applicant (Either you or your wife). You will include spouse details on Additional Family Information Form and Application for Permanent Residence. If your spouse is NOT principal applicant, her education will earn points towards your total eligibility points. Let me know if this is not clear.

Thanks.

Sort of related....

in London VO specific instructions it says:

7. Work Experience
For you, your spouse or common-law partner provide:
ref letters and contracts etc..

I am applying as principle applicant with my common law partner included in the application, does she need to provide work reference/contracts letter as well?
