Hey Babbi,

Applying a 2nd time with a stronger application will not affect your sponsorship application.
The chances of getting the visit visa a 2nd time around are slim, unless your circumstances have considerably changed or if you attach documentation to address the "concerns" of the VO, outlined in the first rejection.

In my case, I feel like I put in the strongest application in the first time around, and will not be able to provide any additional documentation or detail. So a 2nd application will not necessarily be stronger.

Also, in my personal opinion, I feel like they are not handing out any more VISIT VISA's for this year.

I don't think there is any quota for visit visas - if you think you can over-come your rejection reasons then you can go ahead and apply 2nd time.

The MOST important thing for us to be eligible to get a visit visa is to prove ties in country of residence and that in Canada which for us is very slim since we have a spouse in Canada. Unless they come out with TRV visa category for spouses the chances of spouses getting visas seem slim.

They never used to be so hard on visit visas before 2009 but i guess people have started living in canada illegally so they came down hard on TRV applicants. Raise the issue with your local MPs. They need to make a separate class for spouses (Spouse TRV etc) england, us, aus, eu, nz they all have it why cant Canada. 2-3 years PR application processing time from pak is unfair too.

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of applying for TRV for my wife. I sent my file to CPC-M in March 2012.
Can any one please share their cover letter which the spouse in Pakistan would write for TRV? Or what to mention in it.

THanks

Hello

I had applied for my newborn son TRV/TRP on the 14th of May 2012.  I still haven't heard from CHC Islamabad yet.  I have also applied for his Sponsorship but haven't received the approval yet.

Anyone else had any experience with visas for newborns from Islamabad office?

Regards

The wait is killing me.. It is about 100 days now.  Still haven't heard anything about TRV.  Did it ever take anyone this long?

I hope so.  Today is exactly 102 days.   As per the Canadian Embassy the application is under "active processing" and in queue to be viewed by immigration officer.  I thought it doesn't take this long for just a simple visit visa for a newborn.  I am not sure what they are checking for? Newborn wouldn't have any security checks I hope.

I agree but I have seen delays for TRV lately. Not for newborn but other cases. One of my friends parent got their visa (to attend convocation) after almost 120 days.

How long has it been for your wife's TRV application, if I may ask?
