Questions regarding sponsorship for spouse to immigrate to Canada

I am intending on sponsoring my spouse to immigrate but had some questions/concerns regarding this whole matter. I wanted to know a few things and was hoping the CanadaVisa community could assist me, so here goes. Allow me to start with a few pieces of important info.

-I am Canadian, and my wife is American. I am intending on sponsoring her while she is in the U.S. (I am residing in Canada).
-She recently returned the U.S after overstaying her visitor Visa (I believe that's what it is called) for less than 365 days. She was not issued a deportation order or notice to leave.

Onto my concerns:
1.Provided my sponsorship application gets approved during the 4-6 week processing period in Mississauga. Will the gov't begin filing my spouses PR card immediately after approval?

2.How long will it take for her to receive her PR card? Is there some other legal document she will receive to support her Permanent Resident status while waiting for her card?

3.Following my sponsorship application being accepted, when would be the earliest (and most realistic) time to bring my wife back into Canada? I understand the IO will have the last say whether she gets to re-enter Canada or not, but when would be the most realistic time to attempt to bring her back into Canada? I was thinking after receiving my Sponsorship Acceptance letter.

4.Will evidence like Fees receipt, Sponsorship Acceptance letter, copies of Medical/Police clearance, copies of a few pages of my Sponsorship application help support her re-entry into Canada? Should she attempt to re-enter Canada as an "immigrant" or "Visitor"?

5.To sponsor her in my given situation, what fees would I need to pay to cover everything regarding my sponsorship of her?

Sorry if my questions are confusing or lacking structure. Im really naive when it comes to all this. Thats why Im hoping someone can clarify some things for me. Cheers.

After the 4-6 week processing in Mississauga, her file would be sent to Buffalo for further processing which can take a few months.  It is only after that she will get her PR.  She will be asked to mail her passport and they will give her a PR visa.  She will activate this visa at the border when entering from the US and should get her PR card in the mail 4-6 weeks later.  From the time of landing as a PR until getting the PR card, she can use her landing documents to prove her status, apply for a SIN number, get a job etc.

She can still visit you in Canada while you wait for the sponsorship to come through, that is if they let her in.  Telling them she is being sponsored can help because it will show that you want to do things legally.

Ok, so say for example the application goes through and is forwarded to Buffalo etc, and she decides to come to Canada. Should she just come to Canada as a Visitor? Would she be expected to go back to the U.S as her papers were being processed in Buffalo, or could she remain in Canada for the duration of her pending approval?

She is like any other visitor.  She can still not move to Canada until she gets her PR.  If they let her in, she can ask for a visitor record that would allow her to stay longer than the 6 months she would usually get or she can apply to extend after 6 months are almost up.
