Hello all,

I am a medical student from the Netherlands and I have applied for a health student visa. However my visa will arrive in August. My question is whether I can visit Canada as a tourist before my visa arrives, so I can get settled.

Is anyone familiar with this? I could in fact visit Canada as a tourist (I have a Dutch passport) but would they make any problem when they see that my visa is being processed?

Please help me!

1.  Yes, no there should be no problems, if you are asked tell them exactly what you are doing.

So when they ask why I want to enter Canada while I have a visa in process, and if I say: I want to settle myself in Canada, then that is ok right? Entering as a tourist is possible, so I should not have major problems.

Anyone else having experience that want to share that with me?

Thanks!
