questions on sponsorship appication

I have been filling out the paperwork to sponsor my wife from The Peoples Republic of China, and I am kinda stumped on how to answer one of the questions, on the sponsor questionair it asks if my spouse has met any of my close friends or family, well I met my wife though a mutual friend who introduced us and who resides here in my city and I have known my friend for about 1 year now, but my wife has known her for about 10 years. How should I answer this question, I do not want to destroy my chances of being able to immigrate my wife to Canada by answering No to this question as she has known her for alot longer than me, or should I answer Yes to this question as my friend is the one who introduced us?
any advice on this one would help.
