Hello,

I am filing Canadian Immigration under AINP and have following questions on the forms associated with it:

IMM0008 Generic: What do I need to fill in the "Category under which you are applying" ? There are options for Family class, Refugees outside Canada, Economic Class, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled worked class and other. I understand that I can chose Other but I need to specify further there.

IMM0008 Generic: My child is US Citizen, what should I enter in the Identity Number ? The SSN ?

Does IMM 5406 needs to be filled in by the Spouse too ? It is the form for Additional Family Information.

Thanks,

=> Economic Class

IMM0008 Generic: My child is US Citizen, what should I enter in the Identity Number ? The SSN ?

=> Not necesssary to provide the SSN.

Does IMM 5406 needs to be filled in by the Spouse too ? It is the form for Additional Family Information.
=> Yes, this is needed for the spouse.

The checklist for required documents exist on the 2nd and 3rd page of this form.

What needs to be filled in the following:

Visa Office requested for the process of your application (IMM0008: Generic)

CIC application History (column B in AINP Form): It says if you already submitted an application for PR in CIC. Does this apply to me if I submitted an application and was rejected last month ?

Most of them in the US answer this as : Buffalo

CIC application History (column B in AINP Form): It says if you already submitted an application for PR in CIC. Does this apply to me if I submitted an application and was rejected last month ?

I suppose that you have not applied/rejected with CIC and it should be a: NO

Actually, I did apply with CIC and got rejected. However, the form says that if you have already submitted an application.

Sorry to hear that. IMO, they ask that to check if there is any CIC application submitted/pending which could be potentially converted when the nomination is received. But in your case the application was rejected ( i guess it was FSW) so there is nothing pending.

In theory there is nothing that can stop one from applying for AINP stream if FSW was rejected. Both have their own qualifying factors. So you should be good to go. But this is just my opinion. Let us see what other have to say about this situation. I am sure you are not the only one with this case.
