A friend of mine is planning on moving to Canada from Ireland. He does not qualify as a Skilled Worker and does not have a job offer. So we are mostly looking at the IEC program. I have a lot of questions and have exhausted all the resources I can find. I hope I can clarify a few things here. First we are willing to house him until he finds a job and can fend for himself. Is there any way of the Proof of Funds being lowered because he has a place to stay and will not require any assistance?
The Proof of Funds has to be a bank statement no older than one week from the landing date. Would he be able to use those funds for his travel to Canada and to pay for his medical insurance after the bank statement has been drawn?
Also what type of costs would he be looking at for medical insurance for 12 months while he is here?
These are my most urgent questions. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
